USAPEEC receives funding

The grant is one of the largest allocations among the 64 applicants.

The U.S. poultry and egg export industry achieved a significant milestone with the announcement of a $10 million grant awarded to the U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) under the USDA’s Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP).

This grant is one of the largest allocations among the 64 applicants competing for a share of the $300 million funding pool. USAPEEC’s grant, which surpasses double the program average, highlights the USDA's confidence in USAPEEC’s leadership and its ability to execute impactful export promotion programs.

USAPEEC President and CEO Greg Tyler expressed gratitude for the USDA’s continued support, stating:"We value the continued support of, and our partnership with, the Foreign Agricultural Service. We appreciate the faith that USDA places in USAPEEC and in our ability to carry out these important programs."

The RAPP grants aim to diversify export markets and reduce dependence on the largest trading partners. Key regions for expansion include:

  • Africa
  • Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Southeast AsiaAdditionally, Europe has been included as an eligible region for this round of funding, presenting new growth opportunities for U.S. poultry and egg exports

The funding aligns with USAPEEC's mission to explore and capitalize on emerging markets while sustaining growth in existing ones.
