Ovotrack, a global leader in egg traceability solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with German software company Coldewey to acquire the c2flagranto software, widely used by egg grading and processing companies across Germany. This acquisition will allow Ovotrack to integrate and expand its capabilities in the German market.
The c2flagranto software supports office-based functions such as order processing, invoicing and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). It complements Ovotrack’s core offerings, which focus on inventory management, traceability and labeling in egg grading and processing. The synergy between these two platforms has already benefitted several customers, as they combine the best features of both systems to streamline operations.
Coldewey's decision to divest from the c2flagranto software stems from its focus on other business sectors. Bernd Oeltjenbruns, head of Coldewey’s software department, stated, "We are confident that Ovotrack is the right partner to bring c2flagranto and its users to the next level."
Ovotrack’s CEO, Job Beekhuis, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are pleased with the trust Coldewey and its customers have placed in us. We look forward to helping our German customers prepare for the future with our integrated solutions.”
The details of the collaboration were shared with c2flagranto users during a visit to the new grading center of Bio-Gut Rosenthal, where Jonathan Gauer, CEO of Bio-Gut Rosenthal, demonstrated the combined benefits of Ovotrack and c2flagranto, alongside advanced egg grading technology like the Sanovo GraderPro 220 and robotic solutions.
Ovotrack will assume control of c2flagranto on January 1, 2025, and the existing c2flagranto support team will remain on board to ensure continuity. The acquisition also extends to other food processing companies in Germany using c2flagranto.
