ALDF sues USDA over poultry product labeling

After its case against the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) was dismissed in August of last year, the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) has filed another lawsuit against the department for approving allegedly deceptive labels on chicken and turkey products.

The lawsuit claims that the USDA is approving product labels that depict “idyllic imagery” of birds in outdoor pastures despite flocks being raised in “warehouses on factory farms.”
