The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) announces that Gary Huddleston, director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs, has been selected to serve on Kansas State University’s department of grain science external advisory board.
The advisory board plays a crucial role in fostering industry partnerships, driving innovation and supporting student success while addressing key challenges in grain and feed manufacturing.
"I'm honored to join Kansas State University's Department of Grain Science external advisory board and contribute to the future of our industry, through supporting student success and addressing the evolving challenges facing grain and feed manufacturing," said Huddleston.
With over 30 years of experience in feed manufacturing, Huddleston has been a leader in regulatory affairs, industry education and compliance initiatives. At AFIA, he oversees regulatory engagements with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Additionally, he leads AFIA’s Equipment Manufacturers and Production Compliance Committees.
Before joining AFIA in 2015, Huddleston managed Southern States Cooperative’s Park City, Kentucky, feed plant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and economics from Tennessee Technological University.
