Westway Feed Products LLC and Man Liquid Products have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Alicia Castillo Taylor, who passed away on Nov. 17, 2015. Prior to her death, she worked for Westway Feed since 1997 as an account manager covering Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. Taylor was well known and respected throughout the northeast feed industry.
Earlier this summer, Taylor was recognized posthumously at the company’s annual President’s Council for her outstanding sales levels during the previous fiscal year. Daughters Alexandria and Olivia attended the event and accepted the award in their mother’s memory.
The annual memorial scholarship will be awarded at Harford Community College, in Bel Air, Md. It will be awarded to students exhibiting financial need and who are deserving Harford College students. The award is intended to help students realize their dream of a higher education in the field of business.
Preference in the selection process will be given to female students who best exemplify the spirit and qualities of Taylor: individuals who are vivacious, love life and are interested in pursuing a career in business. Applications will be reviewed by and recommendations for recipient selection will be made by Westway Feed Products LLC personnel.
