Animal health and nutrition company Innovad Group has entered a long-term exclusive supply agreement for butyric acid with ChainCraft, a producer of sustainable chemicals of food waste. Through this collaboration, ChainCraft will supply fatty acids of high purity to Innovad, enabling production of low-carbon advanced feed additives that support animal intestinal health and environmental sustainability.
This partnership not only promotes sustainability within the animal feed industry but also creates a unique synergy between two innovators. By partnering with ChainCraft and integrating its cutting-edge fermentation technology, which transforms organic residues into high-value short and medium chain fatty acids, Innovad gains access to a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil and palm oil-based products. By integrating ChainCraft’s bio-based fatty acids into its product portfolio, Innovad aims to enhance the health and nutrition of livestock while reducing dependency on non-renewable resources.
