Tyson agrees to halt ‘net-zero,’ ‘climate-smart’ claims

EWG said Tyson’s climate-smart beef program and its goal to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 were false and misleading, a claim Tyson denies.

Tyson Foods Inc. has reached an agreement with the Environmental Working Group (EWG) that it will not make environmental claims for five years after the group alleged the company’s “net-zero” and “climate-smart” claims were false and misleading to consumers.
