While the volume of Brazilian pork shipments was up year-on-year in August, the trade generated less revenue.

During the month of August, the South American country’s pig producers exported a total of more than 131,100 metric tons (mt) of products.

Including fresh and processed pork products, this represents an increase of 8% from the figure from the same period of last year, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
