A University of Missouri economist says corn prices could fall even further after the release of a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) report that sent prices tumbling on January 12.
The World Agricultural Supply and Demand report concluded that U.S. corn yields rose .5 bushels per acre while harvested acreage increased by 4.5 million acres, resulting in a record crop that exceeded the previous 2023 high by more than 40 million tons.
