Perhaps it is just human nature to believe the current business environment is more volatile and uncertain than was previously the case. We always have the benefit of hindsight when reflecting on what was previously an “uncertain time.”  

That said, it isn’t hard to proclaim the current and projected operating environment for feed and grain managers as one of the most uncertain we have seen in decades. Pick about any area in a PESTEL Analysis (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, legal) and you can find plenty of factors reshaping our markets and creating headwinds for feed and grain firms and managers: change drivers with uncertain impacts on our customers, competitors and business.
