In the West African country, a new local government program to subsidize feed prices in the state of Lagos aims to boost its poultry and fish farming sectors.

Government of one state in southwestern Nigeria has announced a scheme to reduce the cost of feed for poultry and fish farmers.

Aims of the program are to boost local production of these key foods and reduce the effects of food price inflation in Lagos state, reported the News Agency of Nigeria at the end of last month.
