When asked by feed manufacturers how to make their feed mill more efficient, Dr. Adam Fahrenholz, associate professor – feed manufacturing, North Carolina State University, aims to identify the specific aspect of the operation that needs improvement.

"Do you want to optimize efficiency for more production volume, reduce labor costs or cut down on overtime?" he asked during his presentation, Cost-Optimized High-Quality Feed Production in 2024, at an EW Nutrition conference this year.
