BASF declares force majeure on some products after fire

BASF has declared force majeure on deliveries of certain vitamin A, vitamin E and carotenoid products, as well as some aroma ingredients, after a fire at its Ludwigshafen, Germany, plant on July 29.

BASF has declared force majeure on deliveries of certain vitamin A, vitamin E and carotenoid products, as well as some aroma ingredients, after a fire at its Ludwigshafen, Germany, plant on July 29.

The selected aroma ingredients are ionones, pyranol, DL-menthol, rose oxides, ethyllinalool, nerolidol and isophytol R. BASF is in close contact with customers to share updates and the developments regarding the supply capability of the affected products.
