Ukraine-based AgroPlus 2006 has launched a new grain elevator complex and feed mill in the Cherkasy region, with support from USAID AGRO Ukraine.
These facilities will meet the company’s needs as well as serve as service platforms to support local farmers. The project will provide farmers in the community and surrounding areas with modern grain storage, drying and cleaning services, as well as support for raising pigs without antibiotics.
The elevator is operating with barley and wheat and is preparing for the sunflower and corn season. The company has announced favorable terms of cooperation for micro, small and medium-sized agricultural producers, including:
- A 20% discount on grain drying
- Free storage during the first month
- Production of compound feed on a tolling basis
- Comprehensive support for raising pigs without antibiotics
The project aims to involve more than 80 micro, small and medium-sized agricultural producers, who will receive service support and assistance in selling their products at market prices. Thanks to its new capacities, AgroPlus 2006 also offers farmers a convenient cooperation model that enables them to earn income from pig fattening without significant investment.
AgroPlus 2006 LLC is a modern pig farm in Cherkasy Oblast that develops pig breeding without the use of antibiotics and produces high value-added meat products. AgroPlus 2006 was established and is managed by Austrian entrepreneur Thomas Brunner.
