AAFCO to review feed ingredient definitions at upcoming meeting

The Association of American Feed Control Officials’ (AAFCO) Ingredient Definitions Committee (IDC) will hold a meeting to review the definitions of feed ingredients, published annually in the AAFCO “Official Publication.” The committee will meet Friday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the AAFCO Midyear Meeting in New Orleans.

The Association of American Feed Control Officials‘ (AAFCO) Ingredient Definitions Committee (IDC) will hold a meeting to review the definitions of feed ingredients, published annually in the AAFCO “Official Publication.” The committee will meet Friday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the AAFCO Midyear Meeting in New Orleans.

The AAFCO IDC’s agenda and accompanying materials are posted on the AAFCO IDC web portal.

In advance of the meeting, the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is asking members to review the AAFCO IDC agenda items and provide the association with any feedback regarding an agenda item.

The AAFCO IDC will consider the following recommendations for new Tentative Definitions:

  • T60.114 Pea Pulse Flour
  • T60.115 Pea Pulse Protein
  • T60.116 Pea Pulse Starch
  • T60.113 Pea Pulse Fiber
  • T33.10 _____ Distillers Oil, Feed Grade
  • TT60.111 Biodiesel Derived Glycerin
