Jury rules against Land OâLakes Purina in poisoning case
A jury has ordered Land O'Lakes Purina Feed to pay a pair of dairy farmers in Tillamook, Ore., $750,000 in damages for poisoning their dairy cows.The trial, which wrapped up in December 2013 in Tillamook County Circuit Court, ended on a 10-2 verdict in favor of Neal and Nancy Kaste after food from Land O'Lakes Purina Feed killed 140 of their milking cows, Tillamook County Pioneer reported.

AAFCO to review feed ingredient definitions at upcoming meeting
The Association of American Feed Control Officialsâ (AAFCO) Ingredient Definitions Committee (IDC) will hold a meeting to review the definitions of feed ingredients, published annually in the AAFCO âOfficial Publication.â The committee will meet Friday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the AAFCO Midyear Meeting in New Orleans.
