Countries in Europe and around the world have turned to alternative proteins to boost domestic agricultural production in the face of growing geopolitical instability. But while new concepts like insects and single-cell proteins have dominated the headlines, Norwegian startup BIO3 believes a simpler approach using fermentation and agricultural byproducts may be able to achieve scale faster.
