The Econase XT xylanase assays from AB Vista confirm the presence and levels of Econase XT xylanase in feed. The enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assays use a specific antibody to capture the active form of xylanase, then quantifies the presence and level of the enzyme using a secondary, color-based reaction. The test comes in two varieties. The QuickStix lateral-flow kit is a qualitative assay the produces results within five minutes and can detect the enzyme in as a little as individual pellets. The QuantiPlate micro-titer well kit provides quantification of enzyme activity over the range normally found in commercial feeds, with accurate results within three hours.
