Dr. Smith will serve as Veterinary Technical Service Manager for Poultry
Huvepharma, a global human and animal pharmaceutical company, has named Dr. David Smith as the new Veterinary Technical Service Manager for the U.S. Poultry Team. Dr. Smith has extensive career experience in Veterinary Technical Services for some of the largest animal health companies in the poultry industry. The company believes his track record of success in both technical service and animal health will ensure Huvepharma continues to deliver the service and quality expected as a premier pharmaceutical supplier to the industry.
Dr. Smith’s knowledge of U.S. poultry production practices and trends will drive the Poultry Business Unit forward as it capitalizes on industry-driven fundamentals.

Prior to joining Huvepharma, Dr. Smith served as the Director of Professional Veterinary Services at Boehringer Ingelheim for the U.S. Poultry Business, where he led the Veterinary Services Team for five years. He also spent 16 years in various roles at Merial Select, supporting their avian business.

Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in animal sciences from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Veterinary Clinical Sciences from Mississippi State University. He currently resides in Gainesville, Georgia.
