With more than a decade at NOVUS and a lifetime of experience in agriculture, David Sanchez Torres has been appointed senior regional technical services manager for Asia. He is based at the company’s regional office in Bangkok, Thailand.
In his new role, Torres collaborates closely with technical and commercial teams to support customers in achieving their production goals. His work focuses on delivering solutions that optimize animal performance, support gut and structural health, enhance reproductive efficiency, and provide strategic guidance on nutrition programs.
Previously, Torres served as senior regional technical services manager for the Americas, where he led a diverse team supporting both North and South American markets.
With specialized knowledge in feed formulation, poultry nutrition, mineral and enzyme nutrition, and calcium and phosphorus metabolism, Torres brings a robust skill set to his new position. His expertise will help customers address on-farm challenges by aligning technical insights with business objectives.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to join the Asia team,” Torres said. “NOVUS has a strong presence and tremendous growth potential in this region. I look forward to contributing by sharing strategies and insights gained from my experience in the Americas. Asia is leading the way in many aspects of our industry, and I’m proud to support NOVUS’s mission of helping every animal reach its full potential through intelligent nutrition.”
Rajeev Murthy, senior director and managing director of Asia Pacific, said Torres’ transition to Asia is a strategic move that benefits both the company and his professional growth.
“David has supported our customers in the Americas for over 10 years. His deep expertise in our product platforms, especially minerals and enzymes, makes him an ideal fit for the Asia region,” Murthy said. “Asia is a highly diverse and fast-growing market. David’s global perspective and technical strength will be a valuable asset for our customers and team. At the same time, the region's diversity will enrich his professional journey.”
Before joining NOVUS, Torres held technical and leadership roles at Alltech and Premex, supporting Latin American markets. He holds a degree in animal science from Universidad de La Salle in Colombia, a master’s in animal nutrition from the University of Viçosa in Brazil, and a business degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia. He is also a member of AMEVEA (Asociación Colombiana de Médicos Veterinarios y Zootecnistas Especialistas en Avicultura).
