DLG (German Agricultural Society) has expanded its footprint in North America through the acquisition of Underhill Enterprise (UEI), the organizer of the Canadian Dairy XPO (CDX), the leading trade fair for the Canadian dairy industry. This strategic acquisition is part of DLG’s broader international strategy to enhance its trade fair portfolio in agriculture and food sectors.
With this acquisition, DLG has established a new subsidiary, DLG North America, based in Toronto, Canada, to manage its operations across the continent. Jordon Underhill, the founder of UEI, will join DLG North America alongside his team to continue growing the CDX and extend the reach of the event through DLG’s international networks. Underhill is known for developing the Canadian Dairy XPO into the most prominent dairy industry event in Canada within just a decade.
The acquisition is seen as a significant move to further promote innovation and knowledge sharing among farming professionals in North America, aligning with DLG’s global mission. Jens Kremer, managing director of DLG International, emphasized the importance of this acquisition in bridging the North American and European agricultural markets.
As part of its growth strategy, DLG will also be launching a new dairy trade fair in the United States. This event is scheduled to take place in Burlington, Vermont, in November 2025, aimed at providing US dairy farmers with access to technical innovations and practical farming know-how.
The Canadian Dairy XPO will now form a critical part of DLG’s global portfolio, reinforcing its position as a leading platform for agricultural knowledge and technological exchange in the dairy sector.
