Hamlet Protein, a multinational producer of soy-based protein ingredients, received an award for its contribution to technological advancement in the Chinese companion animal industry at the 6th Companion Animal Food Ingredients Conference (CAFIC 2025) in Suzhou, Jiangsu.
The conference drew more than 600 attendees from the companion animal nutrition industry, providing a platform for ingredient suppliers and pet food manufacturers to discuss industry developments and research.
Dr. Eugene Li, Hamlet Protein's technical manager, delivered a presentation titled "How high quality protein ingredients support gut health in pets." During the question-and-answer session, Dr. Li addressed audience inquiries about trial data, gut development, palatability and amino acid profiles.
The company also operated a booth outside the conference hall, engaging with attendees about applications for cats and dogs.
"These conferences provide us with a great opportunity to share our knowledge and latest insights from our global operation with the Chinese pet industry," said Lu Kelun, Hamlet Protein commercial director. "At the same time, we are learning more about the dynamics in the Chinese companion animals' market so we can address challenges and opportunities in a better way. We are honored to receive the recognition from the organizers on our contribution and commitment to the industry."
Hamlet Protein operates two production facilities in Denmark and the U.S., manufacturing soy-based protein ingredients for young piglets, poultry, pet food, and cattle feed applications.
