Probiotic Feed Additive Study Results to be Shared

BioResource International will share findings at Poultry Science Association Annual Meeting

BioResource International, Inc. (BRI), a global biotechnology company specializing in the research, development and manufacture of high-performance enzyme feed additives for optimizing animal nutrition and gut health, will present findings from its new research trial of its proprietary xylanase and multi-strain probiotic feed additive, EnzaPro®, on broilers at the upcoming Poultry Science Association (PSA) annual meeting in San Antonio, TX, July 23 – 26, 2018.

The study, “Effects of a commercial xylanase-direct-fed-microbial feed additive on gut health and livability of broilers raised under severe coccidiosis challenge conditions,” will be presented by Basheer Nusairat, Ph.D., animal nutritionist at BRI.

The oral presentation will be held on Thursday, July 26, from 10:30 – 10:45 a.m., as part of the conference’s Metabolism and Nutrition, Feed Additives II session. Results from the 28-study found that broilers treated with BRI’s new EnzaPro feed additive, a novel blend of xylanase and multi-strain Bacillus direct-fed microbial, improved broiler performance by significantly reducing mortality and improving gut health under severe challenges.

“As regions continue to lower the use of antibiotics to help reduce resistance build-up, poultry producers are looking for reliable alternative health solutions,” says JJ Wang, Ph.D., senior vice president and chief technology officer of BRI.
