Japfa CFO named to leadership network

Kevin Monteiro, executive director and chief financial officer of Japfa, has been appointed co-chair of A4S CFO Leadership Network – Asia Pacific Chapter.

The A4S (Accounting for Sustainability) CFO Leadership Network brings together finance leaders to inspire action and accelerate the shift toward resilient business models and a sustainable economy. The company says Monteiro’s appointment reflects both his personal leadership in sustainable finance and Japfa’s broader commitment to building a resilient, responsible food system across Asia.

 “I truly believe the finance function is very influential….to make sure the organization is following sustainability in their hearts,” Monteiro said.

Japfa, headquartered in Singapore, is the world’s sixth largest poultry producer, according to information from the WATTPoultry.com Top Poultry Companies Database. During the past year, it produced 981 million broilers. As a feed company, Japfa ranks as the 26th largest in the world, producing 5.9 million metric tons during the past year.

The company operates 16 slaughter plants, 33 processing plants, 38 hatcheries and 38 feed mills. Japfa produces feed for the poultry, pig, aquaculture and ruminant livestock sectors.
