Fewer companies in Germany produced more feed in 2024

Latest figures point to a recovery in national compound feed output, but a further reduction in the number of companies in the sector.

For 2024, total production of compound feed in Germany was up 1.1% year-on-year to 21.9 million metric tons (mmt).

This headline figure from the German Animal Nutrition Association DVT represents a reversal in the trend over recent years, which had indicated a long-term contraction in output.
