SAM Nutrition has announced new leadership roles that position the company for continued growth, innovation and commercial excellence. Rooted in family values and a customer-first culture, these strategic appointments strengthen SAM Nutrition's operational and financial foundation, enabling the company to better serve its customers and navigate today's increasingly complex market environment.
As chief operating officer, Jon Doering brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the food, agriculture and animal nutrition industries, spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, operating systems development and continuous improvement. He grew up working on his family's dairy farm — an experience that shaped his customer-first approach to operations.
"We are one team, and our success depends on working together with a shared focus on our customers," Doering said. "By combining an innovative mindset with operational excellence, we will continue providing reliable ingredient solutions and helping our customers meet today's challenges while preparing for tomorrow's opportunities."
Erika Wederquist joins with more than 16 years of experience in agricultural and regulated business environments, leading work in financial stewardship, operational controls and process improvement. In her new role as vice president of finance, she will focus on the financial infrastructure required to support the company's next phase of growth.
"My priority is building strong processes and controls that support sustainable, scalable growth," Wederquist said. "By improving efficiency across the organization, we can better serve our customers, support our employees and position the business for long-term success."
Together, the two leaders will help SAM Nutrition sharpen its responsiveness, strengthen supply chain capabilities and advance strategic growth initiatives — while preserving the agility and entrepreneurial approach that have become hallmarks of the brand.
"Adding strong leadership is essential as we build an organization that can adapt to changing market conditions and create long-term value for our customers and partners," said Apoorva Shah, CEO of SAM Nutrition. "Jon and Erika bring deep experience, a practical understanding of our industry and a shared commitment to continuous improvement."
