Animal vaccine producer Medgene has named Sean O’Hare as sales and marketing manager.
O’Hare brings a robust track record within the animal health industry. In his three decades of experience, he’s held leadership roles in biotechnology and sales management in addition to livestock production. His breadth of knowledge and practical success have made O'Hare uniquely qualified to further Medgene’s profile in prescription platform vaccine technology.
Though O’Hare will be managing the breadth of Medgene’s species profile — including swine, rabbits, poultry and cervids — his initial area of focus is leading the company’s growth in the cattle industry.
“Medgene is solving real problems for producers and veterinarians in a way the industry has needed for a long time,” O’Hare said. “The prescription platform vaccine model is not only innovative — it’s practical, fast and grounded in what’s happening on farms every day. I’m excited to help bring this technology to veterinarians and producers across the country.”
Prior to joining Medgene in November 2025, O’Hare held leadership roles with PIC (Genus), Novartis Animal Health, Boehringer-Ingelheim, AgriLabs, Gallagher and EW Nutrition, where he built high-performance teams, led go-to-market strategy development and launched new technologies across the cattle, swine, dairy and poultry sectors.
His work has spanned global markets including Europe, Asia and South America, earning him a reputation for strategic insight, cross-functional leadership and strong industry partnerships.
