Foundation Analytical Laboratory expands feed analysis portfolio

Foundation Analytical Laboratory (FAL), an independent, third-party contract testing laboratory, has expanded its feed analysis portfolio to better serve clients in the dairy and livestock industries.

Foundation Analytical Laboratory (FAL), an independent, third-party contract testing laboratory, has expanded its feed analysis portfolio to better serve clients in the dairy and livestock industries.

FAL’s expanded feed analysis portfolio now includes:

  • Nutritional panel
  • Antioxidants
  • Total dietary fiber
  • Reactive lysine
  • Oilseed analysis

“At Foundation Analytical Laboratory, we continuously field industry-specific requests and regularly add new methodologies to our portfolio,” said Diane Young, technical services director and owner of FAL. “Expanding our feed analysis testing portfolio and scaling to meet the needs of animal feed clients solidifies our commitment to serve the animal agriculture industry.”

While the additional feed analysis services are new to FAL, the dairy and livestock industries are not.

“Our team has a full gamut of livestock industry experience,” said Young. “We understand exactly what’s involved when it comes to testing feed ingredients and how those results directly impact feed quality and the well-being of livestock.”

FAL was established in 2009 to create a better third-party lab experience. Since then, FAL has used its state-of-the-art facilities, rigorous scientific methodologies and the highest quality standards to help its clients uncover valuable business decisions with a quick turnaround.

“Having been on both sides of the sample, we knew exactly how to create a better third-party lab experience. We understand the pressure our clients are under and the value of timely results,” said Young. “At Foundation Analytical Laboratory, our clients soon find going above and beyond is our status quo.”

The average turnaround time for samples sent to FAL is five days. The lab also has three tiers of rush orders, including the ability to deliver same-day mycotoxin testing (if received by 10 a.m.)

Clients also receive 24/7 access to their data via FAL’s proprietary IntegriLIMS platform. In addition, IntegriLIMS allows clients to see where samples are in the testing process, view preliminary results and get notifications throughout the testing process.

“At Foundation Analytical Laboratory, we pride ourselves on our commitment to scientific rigor with a human touch. We go beyond delivering timely, accurate results and act as an extension of our clients’ teams to help create solutions,” said Young. “We will call clients first, get familiar with their data and automatically retest if anomalies arise. We also call with personal reminders about sample deadlines. Our team is one that clients trust to always go the extra mile.”
