As commercial layers grow from chick to hen, their nutritional requirements change. A crucial phase in their development is the transition from pullet to layer feed. It is usually the period around the 16th to 20th week of age, but this depends on hybrid selection. Nevertheless, this transition period, if not managed properly, will negatively affect their overall health and egg production. In this article, we will explore the nutritional needs of commercial hens during this critical phase and offer recommendations to ensure a smooth progression.
