De Heus has opened a new shrimp feed mill in Co Chien Industrial Zone, Vinh Long province, Vietnam.
The establishment of the De Heus Vinh Long Shrimp Feed Mill underscores the commitment of De Heus to long-term, strategic investments in the production of highly effective shrimp feed, facilitated by a dedicated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
“This shrimp feed factory is not just a building; it’s a significant boost for the local economy and the aquaculture industry here,” said H.E. Daniel Stork, consul general of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City. “By providing top-notch feed products, it’s going to help shrimp farmers, improve yields and ensure food security for the community. It’s a big step forward for sustainable development and economic growth in Vinh Long and beyond.”
Spanning an area of 29,300 square meters, the De Heus Vinh Long Shrimp Feed Mill has an annual capacity of 50,000 metric tons, featuring five production lines exclusively dedicated to shrimp feed products. Leveraging cutting-edge technology imported from Europe, the entire production process adheres rigorously to international quality standards such as ISO 22000, BAP, and GLOBAL G.A.P.

The inauguration of this Vinh Long shrimp feed mill underscores the aspiration of De Heus to be a major aquafeed producer encompassing seawater and freshwater aquaculture.
