Researcher sees potential methane solution in chicken eggs

Using chicken eggs as a form of 'passive immunization' against methane-producing bacteria might cut emissions from cattle — and perhaps a whole lot more.

The world of methane-reducing feed additives is decidedly high tech. But a new research project led by the University of Florida aims to see if a relatively simple means of delivery — the chicken egg — could yield a low-cost solution for cattle producers.
