Dr. Stewart joins technical service team at AB Vista

AB Vista hires new member for its technical service team.

New role includes focusing on monogastric business

AB Vista announces the addition of Dr. Michelle Stewart as a Technical Services team member. Dr. Stewart will focus on the monogastric business at AB Vista, supporting customers in determining how or why leg health issues evolve in the field.

Since joining the AB Vista team, Dr. Stewart already furthered the development of monitoring bone development from the hatchery to processing plants and hopes to reduce some causes of lameness that are costly to the industry.

“Dr. Stewart has already highlighted promising insight on skeletal development that will prove valuable to the poultry industry, shares Dr Craig Wyatt, AB Vista Technical Manager. “While AB Vista previously looked extensively at skeletal development in early birds, adding Dr. Stewart to the technical services group adds a significant surge in findings and encouragement for new research.”

Obtaining her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Georgia, Dr. Stewart worked at the Georgia Poultry Laboratory Network and main focus has been poultry medicine from the start of her career. She also recently graduated from the University of Georgia’s Masters of Avian Medicine program. Beyond her passion for the poultry industry, Dr. Stewart enjoys the great outdoors, especially horseback riding in North Georgia at the home farm.
