Agricultural equipment maker AGCO Corporation has agreed to acquire Intersystems Holdings Inc., a manufacturer of commercial material handling solutions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CPF acquires Kaifeng Chia Tai
Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), under C.P. Pokphand Co. Ltd., has acquired Kaifeng Chia Tai, an animal feed business in China, for approximately US$49.8 million, and sold a noncore business, Rapid Thrive. The two deals provided a cost offset.

Wilbur-Ellis Company’s feed division, a marketer and distributor of value-added feed ingredients for the aquaculture, livestock and pet food industries in North America and Asia-Pacific, has acquired Allied Premium Protein (APP), a division of Brown Packing Co. Inc. APP services the domestic and international livestock industry with high-end animal protein meals.

JBS United Inc. has acquired substantially all of the assets used by JLM Enterprise Inc. in the operation of its business in a deal that closed March 31.Based in Bancroft, Mich., JLM Enterprise is an industry leader in silage inoculants and feed additives for the dairy industry.

ADM to acquire remaining stake in Toepfer
Archer Daniels Midland Company announced three significant actions in the company’s ongoing portfolio management: the acquisition of the remaining stake of Alfred C. Toepfer International GmbH, an agreement to sell the company’s South American fertilizer business, and pursuit of the sale of the company’s chocolate business.“We are committed to ongoing portfolio management to realize value from our businesses and to deploy our capital where it can best improve returns,” said ADM Chairman and CEO Patricia A. As part of that strategy, the company acquired Shanghai Shende Machinery Co.
