Conservation group to sue Cooke Aquaculture, alleging Clean Water Act violations

The Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) has notified Cooke Aquaculture of its intent to sue the company for alleged Clean Water Act violations at 13 sites in Maine. Cooke Aquaculture has denied the allegations, saying they are false, misleading and lack substantiating evidence.

In a press release, CLF said Cooke Aquaculture “regularly pollutes Maine’s iconic bays and negatively impacts recreation and the lobstering and fishing industries.”
