In my previous blog, we examined how the ingredients and additives selected to design a successful broiler super pre-starter can improve the efficiency with which poultry utilize their feeds. This results in many benefits that we discussed briefly, but here we will examine them in more detail as this is what really matters in the end.
Improved growth rates: The most immediate benefit of using super pre-starter feeds is the significant improvement in growth rates. Chicks fed with these feeds tend to grow faster, therefore they can reach market weight more quickly, reducing the overall production cycle time. In my experience, an improvement of 10% in growth rate is easily obtained, especially in production systems that face such a problem.
