Victam Asia 2014, in combination with FIAAP and GRAPAS, will offer a number of new products and technologies needed to formulate and operate safe, economical animal feed production and grain processing facilities, as well as technical conferences on topics such as aquafeed, animal feed ingredients, pet food, biomass technology and grain processing.

Aquafeed Horizons will again return as part of this conference lineup on April 8, allowing aquafeed producers from the region and beyond to learn about the latest innovations in aquafeed production technology and feed formulation. In 2014, experts will discuss processing and nutritional solutions to meet current aquafeed challenges.

Victam Asia 2014

Victam Asia is Asia’s largest exhibition for animal feed specialists and for the ancillary equipment and technology for the production of animal feeds, aquafeed and dry pet foods. Visitors can view the latest technology from leading designers, manufacturers and suppliers of this technology from around the world. Exhibitors will cover a range of products and services, including mills, upgrades to existing systems or formulation programs and reconditioned equipment. Nutritionists and formulators also are encouraged to attend to see how the new technology will impact current formulations.

Additionally, Victam will feature technology for biomass pelleting. Biomass pellets are processed from organic waste and are used as an alternative source for green energy. This heat source is becoming more important throughout the world as conventional energy supplies become harder and increasingly expensive to extract. Many of the major companies that provide pellet mills for feed plants will be exhibiting at the show.

FIAAP 2014

FIAAP – Feed Ingredients & Additives Asia Pacific – is Asia’s only show and conference dedicated to the specialist ingredients and additives used in the safe and cost-efficient formulation of animal feeds, aquafeed and dry pet foods. Exhibitors will be displaying the latest products from within this sector of the feed industry.

GRAPAS Asia 2014

The GRAPAS show highlights the latest technology and systems for rice and flour milling, grain processing, preservation, storage and movement, and noodle, breakfast cereal and extruded snack production. Major international companies will have the latest equipment used in these processes on display.

A range of companies that supply ancillary equipment for the feed, biomass and grain industries, with equipment ranging from silos, conveyors, bagging machines, magnetic systems, quality control, computers and programs, and trucks will also be exhibiting at the show.

First ASEAN Feed Summit

With the anticipated creation of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Economic Bloc in 2015, the Victam Foundation has decided to sponsor an ASEAN Feed Summit every two years during FIAAP, VICTAM and GRAPAS Asia, the first of which will begin at the 2014 shows.

The aim of the summit, according to organizers, is to bring together an international forum of feed associations and related associations in Asia to discuss and determine future policies and objectives for the industry. It will be hosted by the Thai Feed Mill Association with the assistance and support of the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
