Mowi mulls future of its feed division

A sale is among the options under consideration by Norway-based integrated salmon and seafood company Mowi ASA for its feed division.

Strong growth in Mowi’s salmon production over recent years underlies the review of its feed business recently announced by the company.

From an output of approximately 400,000 metric tons (mt) just a few years ago, the company’s salmon production is now approaching 600,000 mt, according to the group’s CEO, Ivan Vindheim.
