Animal nutrition company DSM Nutritional Products has acquired the premix unit of Romania’s premix manufacturer Fatrom.
According to DSM, the move expands the company’s global network of premix facilities and offers it improved access to the Romanian livestock feed market. “The acquisition of Fatrom’s premix unit fits perfectly with DSM’s overall strategy of driving focused growth,” said Fred Kloren, director of commercial and premix operations at DSM. “We see excellent potential for growth in the Romanian premix market and will actively support this with our expertise in the field.” Closing of the acquisition is subject to merger notification approval by the competent authorities.
