Kipster upcycles food waste to lower poultry feed emissions

Dutch egg company is producing meat birds and carbon-neutral eggs on its first farm in the U.S. through a combination of upcycling, solar panels and carbon credits.

When MPS Egg Farms and Kipster teamed up to open Kipster’s first farm in the U.S, there were challenges, but the companies were committed to building a sustainable and profitable business in the U.S. like it already had in the Netherlands. Kipster produces what it calls “the world’s first carbon-neutral egg” and has a unique operating model in that it raises its male layer birds for meat production.
