The micro-encapsulation process involves coating the dried yeast prills with a specific fatty acid mixture that protects the yeast against the high temperatures and pressures of pelleting. The protective fatty acid coating then solubilizes in the rumen environment to ensure the live yeast cells are metabolically active. The product is authorized for use in Australia.
