NOVUS and Nutra Blend are once again sponsoring the Young Pork Advocates Issues Meet at the 2024 World Pork Expo, held June 4–5 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Organized by the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), the event invites 17-22-year-olds to discuss pork industry issues and propose solutions in a format that simulates NPPC's policy development process.
The competition aims to engage and inspire young talent in animal agriculture, addressing the industry's need for new perspectives and innovation. Winners receive a $2,500 scholarship and an all-expenses paid trip to NPPC’s Fall Legislative Action Conference in Washington, D.C.
Preliminary rounds take place on June 4 at the Varied Industries Building, with finals on June 5 on the Anne & Bill Riley Stage before the expo’s closing concert.
