Global Industries Inc. has announced that Carmon Wenger has retired as International Business Development Manager for the company based in Grand Island, Nebr.
A longstanding fixture in the international sales of ag and ag-related equipment, Wenger’s first exposure to the industry came in 1978 when he joined CTB, Inc. It was there he started work for Brock in several capacities, eventually rising to the position of General Manager. In 1985 he was named president of Chore-Time/Brock international, a world leader in the poultry and egg production industry. He continued in this position until 1993, when he started his own firm, WE International. Wenger continued to operate WE International until 2007, when he left to join Global Industries’ International sales force.
As International Business Development Manager, Wenger was responsible for overseeing the introduction and sale of many Global Industries’ product lines into the world market, including all-steel poultry buildings and waste-water treatment facilities, and assisted Global Industries in carving an international niche in both areas.
“Carmon’s knowledge of the industry was critical to our success in these areas, and the personal and business relationships he developed over his years in the industry were second to none,” said Global VP of International Sales John Haugh. “His experience and dedication were very important to Global Industries’ presence and expansion into many different parts of the world.”
Global Industries specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of grain storage, handling and conditioning products, as well as other agricultural-related equipment and services worldwide.
