Thayer Scale's MWF-SGSP-OS weigh belt feeder features an ultra-sanitary, open construction for petfood processing. The MWF-SGSP-OS can provide either a “closed loop” gravimetric control of material feed rate or an “open loop” control for precise convey rate output and totalization of an uncontrolled or intermittent material supply. It features a self-cleaning pulley and a flared-skirt design, and measures belt velocity from the tail pulley, rather than the drive motor, to improve both measurement and control of the material, according to Thayer.
