Adriano Marcon is president and group leader for Cargill’s animal nutrition business globally. Marcon’s career started in 1994 in the animal protein industry and has spanned many technical and managerial areas, ranging from broiler production and nutrition to business leadership. He moved into animal nutrition with Provimi in 1998, holding several positions during his tenure, and joined Cargill through the company’s acquisition in 2011, where he has had group leadership responsibilities for Latin America, North America, Iberia, and China in both its premix & nutrition and feed & nutrition businesses. Prior to becoming the President of animal nutrition, he was the group leader for Cargill’s Aqua Nutrition business. Marcon holds bachelor’s degrees in agronomy and business administration as well as a Master of Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, UFSC, in Brazil. He has also completed an advanced management program through the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires, INSEAD, in France
Peter Ensch is CEO for WEM Automation LLC, known for designing, installing, and servicing process automation systems around the world. Prior to WEM, Ensch has held several strategic business developments and engineering roles, both domestic and international, including Managing Director of Rexnord Industries Innovation Center. Ensch has been active for several years in corporate governance and was on the Board of Directors of Galland Henning Nopak, a manufacturer and machine builder of hydraulic & pneumatic cylinders and industrial balers. He is a graduate of Purdue University and has developed and introduced dozens of new products and has been directly involved in over 90 granted patents, 10 of which he is a named inventor.
Loren Field is the executive vice president of the design-engineer firm, Younglove Construction. He entered the industry in 1981 as a project engineer and since returning to the main office in 1983, he has served the company in a variety of capacities including project manager, field operations, vice president, and now executive vice president. Projects he has handled have centered around grain processing and handling with an emphasis on integrated feed milling for both swine and poultry. He has been directly involved in the design and management of over 40 projects and has performed the design work on many more. Field is currently Board Chair for 2021 for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa.
Dean is the Global Product Management Leader for Bühler’s Animal Nutrition business. Prior to this role, he served in feed R&D and sales positions at Bühler. Before joining the feed industry, his previous experience in technology firms in Silicon Valley is being leveraged to support and develop new forward-looking feed solutions. Of particular focus and interest for Dean are self-optimizing feed processes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree from the University of North Dakota focusing on business innovation and new product development.
