Wp Fs Webinar 400x200Watch on demand now to learn about the distribution of the new IBD strains which are present in Europe and might potentially spread to other geographies.

A new IBDV field strain has become dominant in Western, Central, and Northern Europe with the traditional vvIBDV DV86 strain now rarely detected. While this new dominant strain hardly causes clinical signs, the damage in the bursa is severe and long-lasting indicating its immunosuppressive nature.

In this webinar, guest speaker Dr. Sjaak de Wit, immunologist and senior researcher at GD Animal Health, will

provide an overview of the new IBD field strains. Additionally, Dr de Wit will present data from a recent efficacy study to prove that live IBD vaccines are able to provide strong protection against the new field strains.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  1. Distribution of the new IBD strains which are present in Europe and might potentially spread to other geographies.
  2. Efficacy of live IBD vaccines to prevent multiplication and protect the bursa against the new field strain in the bursa.
  3. The need to review IBD vaccination programs to control the new reassortant strains.

This webinar is sponsored by Elanco and presented by WATTPoultry and Feed Strategy.
