Study: Extreme low-protein diets offer few environmental benefits

The environmental benefits of replacing raw protein with greater portions of amino acids is plateauing despite the availability of new amino acids, researchers say.

Despite the increased availability of amino acids, implementing super-low protein pig diets could prove too costly for most producers and come with limited environmental benefits, according to research from Canada's Laval University.
