As foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) spreads in one South African province, the government is urging owners of susceptible livestock to adhere to official guidance on biosecurity to prevent further outbreaks.

In Eastern Cape, farmers and other stakeholders are being urged to implement strict biosecurity in order to control the spread of FMD in the nation’s southern province.
