Philippines takes new approach to ASF strategy

New African swine fever cases have been reported in two states in northeastern India and three countries of eastern Europe.

Ahead of the second round of African swine fever (ASF) vaccination in the Philippines, protocols have been modified to improve procedures and vaccine take-up.   

As preparations are made for the next phase of the ASF vaccination campaign in the Philippines, officials opted for a different approach to control the disease.
