Philippines: Vaccination brought forward as ASF cases spike

For one of the Asian nation’s most important pig-producing provinces, the start of a vaccination program against African swine fever (ASF) is imminent.

In Asia, new African swine fever (ASF) cases have been reported in India, Indonesia, South Korea and Vietnam, while nine European states have recorded further outbreaks in domestic pigs. A sixth German state has confirmed ASF in the wild boar population.
