No sign of ASF abating in Asian pigs, Europe’s wild boar

Where African swine fever (ASF) virus is reported to be circulating in Asia’s domestic swine, the number of confirmed outbreaks continues to rise.

As African swine fever (ASF) returns to one province of the Philippines, the disease continues to spread gradually in one Indian state, two Indonesian provinces, and to affect a further county in South Korea. There are also new outbreaks in domestic pigs in four European countries, while seven of the region’s states confirm more cases in wild boar.
